Integrated Gas & LNG

As the world electrifies and renewables build scale to support global demand, the need for reliable, non-intermittent, cost competitive, globally mobile energy sources is critical. Gas is a key bridging fuel, and it will play a critical role in providing a stable, secure energy supply for a successful transition to a lower carbon world.

LNG

Gas is the key bridging fuel of the transition

Gas has the lowest carbon profile of hydrocarbons. It does not have the safety risks of nuclear and it has the mobility that hydro based power lacks. The primary chemical component of gas is methane which burns easily - and almost completely - leaving measurably less pollution.

However, pre-combustion methane leaks are an environmental hazard and that is why the COP 26 Global Methane pledge aims to cut emissions by 30% by 2030.

We love challenge!

Kent has a legacy of delivering gas in a responsible manner and we will continue to do so. Across Asia Pacific, Middle East and the Americas, in environments ranging from -40°C to 40°C degrees, we have played a key role in executing some of the industry’s most successful projects. In Australia we have supported 7 of the 9 major LNG projects including Gorgon, Ichthys and Wheatstone LNG projects. In Russia, we executed and commissioned Sakhalin II LNG and in the USA, we assisted in commissioning a large LNG plant in Louisiana.

In Qatar, we helped Qatar Energies construct and commission multiple LNG trains while also helping to reduce their flaring by more than 90% with the execution of the JBOG program removing more than 1.6million tonnes of emissions per year.

Here are some highlights of how many executed work hours the Kent team has performed on major projects:-

Project gorgon lng trains large
