Hides Gas Conditioning Plant, Temporary Construction Village

Kent was contracted to perform the engineering, procurement, construction and start-up of the 1,400-person temporary construction village to support the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant, which is part of the PNG LNG, project in the southern highlands of Papua New Guinea.

The PNG LNG project is an integrated development with a capacity of 6.9 mtpa, consisting of natural gas production and processing facilities, 700km of onshore and offshore pipelines, liquefaction and storage facilities near Port Moresby. Gas is sourced from seven fields: the Hides, Angore and Juha gas fields and from associated gas in the Kutubu, Agogo, Moran and Gobe Main oil fields.

Our scope included security and administration building, package substations, ablution blocks, accommodation building, incinerator, recreation building, waste management, wastewater treatment plant and a raw water treatment plant.
