The Gorgon LNG Plant processes gas from the Greater Gorgon Gas Fields and consists of 3 x 5 mtpa LNG Trains, 2 x 180,000 m3 LNG Storage Tanks, 4 x 35,000 m3 Condensate Storage Tanks, Gas Treatment, CO2 Removal, Compression and Reinjection, 300 Tj/day Domestic Gas Processing Plant and a 1.9 km long LNG Jetty with two Loading Berths.

The remoteness of the project site called for the use of state-of-the-art telecommunications technology, including converged IP networks for multiple data streams, satellite data communications, navigational aids, radar and vessel tracking, meteorological and oceanographic systems, site wide WAN/LAN with network management, central fire and security monitoring, and data transmission on both fibre optic and microwave.

SERVICES PROVIDED

Complete engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, including a five-year support and maintenance contract, for the Telecommunications and Electronic Systems, in all project locations, including Barrow Island off the North West coast of Western Australia, Dampier and Perth in Western Australia.
