Strengthening our connections

Creating shared values

Wherever in the world we work, we want to be a contributing member of the local community. We recognise that our success is not built in isolation but rather with the support of these communities.

We believe it's crucial to develop a strategy that ensures our engagement with the needs of the communities we serve. A strategy that focuses on sharing value by uniting our purpose with the development priorities of local stakeholders.

Trust breeds growth

We rise by lifting others

We’re lifting the communities where we operate by employing local people and local suppliers, educating the next generation of talent, and providing donations and community development.

As a testament, we've achieved our local content goals across various countries with outstanding ICV results. We've already been giving back to the communities through donations and sunshine days to support local causes across the world. Additionally, through initiatives like our Kent Graduate Programme, we’re ensuring the next generation of talent is ready to tackle the greatest challenge of our time.

Our focus

Lifting communities

Under the leadership of Matthew Bishop, our SVP of Operations MEA, we’re working on creating a positive cycle of growth and mutual trust that ultimately drives meaningful change in our local communities.

Throughout 2023, we are committed to:

  • Continuing collaborating with universities to involve and acknowledge college graduates about the energy industry and our services
  • Developing our global policy that outlines our community investment guidelines, such as Sunshine Days, donations, and upskilling programmes.
  • Launching bespoke training and upskilling programmes per country and region for our people
  • Defining a country-specific local content plan across Kent locations
  • Launching a local content & in-country value data dashboard to track our progress
  • Gathering and capturing best practices of local content and in-country value guidelines, plans, and policies from within Kent and national authorities.
