We are excited to announce our partnership with the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE) in the UK. Our partnership with AFBE aligns with our company's Inclusion & Belonging policy at Kent, which supports our ambition in creating an inclusive work environment where everyone can feel valued, respected and included, with a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination or bias.
AFBE is a UK-based organisation that aims to increase the representation of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) engineers and technicians in the engineering profession. Through this partnership, we will work closely with AFBE to develop and implement initiatives that support BME engineers and technicians in our industry. This includes mentoring, networking and development programs. In addition, AFBE will support Kent’s inclusion activity with strategic support and analysis.
At Kent, we strive for an inclusive work environment where co-workers feel valued and recognised and where inclusivity is a reflex, not an initiative, and where diversity thrives as a result. Our partnership with AFBE is just one more step in our ongoing commitment to making Kent a place where people can thrive just by being themselves.
"We know that inclusion, representation and belonging are essential for driving innovation, creativity and success. We are dedicated to nurturing a culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity, and we are proud to work with AFBE to make this a reality." – Karen Blanc, Global Director of Inclusion, Belonging and People Development at Kent
