Kent Inclusion Week 2022

Inclusion and Belonging

Together, we’re building Kent to be a place with equality, diversity and inclusion at the core.

We celebrated our first Inclusion Week with over 1,100 employees across all Kent locations joining five online sessions to listen and contribute to a week of learning.

Karen Blanc, our Global Director of Inclusion, Belonging, and People Development walked us through steps to overcoming unconscious bias. From Conor Crowley, Chief Process Safety Engineer at Kent, we learned ways to make meetings more inclusive. Priscilla Coen, our Senior Human Resources Business Partner –Gulf countries, gave us recommendations and useful tools to improve our well-being.

Also, our guest, Dr Ollie Folayan, Co-Founder of the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK), engaged the audience with the history of racism and its effects, and our CEO, John Gilley, hosted a very insightful conversation with our Kent Inclusion & Belonging Changemakers.

We are living our Inclusion & Belonging strategy with #ThePowerOfNow and creating a sense of belonging where every one of us gets to bring our whole selves to work and feel safe about it and valued for it.
