Kent engineered Hynet Project selected in Cluster 1 of Industrial Cluster Sequencing process and is awarded top accolade

We are delighted to announce that HyNet has been selected in ‘Track 1’ of the industrial Cluster Sequencing process and will proceed with decarbonising the North West and North Wales from 2025.

This great news comes hot on the heels of the project being 'highly commended' in the Global Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) awards.

Over 500 people registered to attend a recent virtual event held this week to discover how partners in the North West are designing and developing the UK’s first hydrogen production hub.

Consortium partners Progressive Energy, Kent, Johnson Matthey and Essar shared details of how they are using Johnson Matthey’s innovative best in class Low Carbon Hydrogen (LCH™) technology at Essar’s Stanlow Manufacturing Complex in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
