About the job:
Kent is looking for Quality Assurance Technicians to be based in Beaumont, TX and support regional project site(s).
To oversee and guide the quality assurance team in ensuring that all products, processes, and services meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. To conduct inspections, coordinate quality control activities, manage non-conformance issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

- Work with quality assurance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to standards.
- Oversee and conduct detailed inspections and testing of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances, lead root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance records, is accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management.
- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment, ensuring that all tools are in good working order and calibrated according to required standards.
- Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring the organization meets or exceeds ISO 9001, API Q1, and other relevant industry standards.
- Prepare for audits, manage audit findings, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing defects, and optimizing quality assurance processes.
- Utilize methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean to improve efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, conducting supplier audits as needed to ensure the quality of materials and components.
- Work closely with procurement to address supplier-related quality issues.
- Ensure all QA activities are conducted in compliance with HSE regulations and company policies, and lead efforts to maintain a safe working environment.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer quality inquiries and issues ensuring customer requirements are fully understood and meet and manage the resolution of any quality-related concerns.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams to integrate quality into all aspects of the production process and ensure consistent quality outcomes.

Qualification/ Training/ Certification: - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- An associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
- CWI - Certified Welding Inspector.
- 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 2-3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in quality inspection tools and techniques, including non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and industry standards such as ISO 9001 and API Q1.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex quality issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and quality management software.
