About the job:

The right candidate will play a key part in maintaining our best-in-class reputation and be part of an integrated team.


Traditionally, our capability has been focused on the UK waters however in recent years, we have secured a global presence with projects in France, Germany, Taiwan, China, Australia and the US.


Our work is roughly divided into two categories: design and consultancy. As we grow, we need people who can work in both areas.


The ever-changing conditions of Offshore Wind Industry means we need individuals who can adapt, change, and thrive when working in dynamic environments. Our global opportunities and innovation initiatives will allow you to excel and build upon your strengths as we continue our growth into existing and exciting emerging markets.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Drive safe practices and guide by example in all safety matters.
  • Lead projects both in bid and execution phases.
  • Deliver projects within agreed constraints for scope, time, and cost.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Work with discipline teams to resource projects.
  • Manage the client relationship on behalf of the project.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships on behalf of the project.
  • Manage projects in accordance with Kent procedures and best practice.
  • Contribute to improving the efficiency in the delivery of projects across Kent.
  • Provide regular project status updates for the business.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Professional project management qualification (APMP, PMI or similar) or appropriate experience in a project management role, preferably in an engineering design/consultancy environment.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Engineering degree.


Communication:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Behaviour/ Core Competencies:

We are looking for the following attributes, proportional to the senior level role sought, to support small consultancy commissions through to leading multi-million-pound design projects.

  • Leadership and Communication.
  • Able to motivate self and teams, deal with conflict, and create a strong delivery culture.
  • Lead by example in setting and maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Client focused with a proven ability to maintain existing and develop new client relationships.
  • Experience in managing various types of projects including consultancy commissions, concept studies, FEED, and detailed design projects.
  • Ability and track record in delivering projects schedule and budget.
  • Ability to foster relationship through solid key account management practices.
  • Solid understanding of project control practices: cost management, scheduling, risk, and opportunity management, change control, contract management, forecasting, and estimating.
  • Direct and demonstrable experience of applying a range of project management principles and skills to deliver successful project outcomes on a range of engineering / technical projects.
  • Able to travel locally and internationally to meet with internal and external stakeholders as required.
