Role scope

To deliver plans for project(s), as well as supporting variance analysis and other assurance activities.


Details / responsibilities

  • Develop project controls and planning execution strategy
  • Be able to produce schedules for both engineering and construction projects with a good level of skill and understanding of construction and engineering planning and programming principles, standards and methodology
  • Provide project 7, 14, 28-day, 1 year, and life of project integrated schedules to support the program of work. Schedule will be incorporated into Master program schedule monthly.
  • Work closely with the Program Management Office to ensure alignment of various schedules.
  • Create schedules that can integrate into the project level and maintain the asset standards in scheduling
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritise and effectively deliver to timelines and department rhythms
  • Work with Project Managers across multiple contracts to meet their reporting requirements on schedule and key milestones
  • Engage with relevant contractors and other key project work stream leaders to ensure all aspects of the project execution and planned activities are adequately represented in the project schedule.
  • Provide variance analysis and regular reporting on project schedule deviations.
  • Manage and report on schedule changes.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and conflict in project schedule.
  • Responsible to provide project cost input in absence of cost engineer.
  • Work with cost engineer to ensure cost and time schedules are aligned.
  • Provide input to support the development or evaluation of project contract variations.
  • Lead or support, assurance activities.
  • Provide input to risk registers and risk processes.
  • Configure, administrate and maintain the P6 database(s).


Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years experience in planning roles including use of Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Proficient with the use of email, Word & Excel
  • Offshore oil & gas projects experience essential.
  • Decommissioning experience desired.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in a technical and administrative role within an engineering team
  • Excellent scheduling, cost management, budgeting management reporting and project management skills
  • Capability with prioritising tasks
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Good communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Excellent comprehension skills that enable review of client instructions, technical data, company records to ensure compliance
  • Ability to evaluate issues that may affect planned activities and quickly negotiate and implement recovery actions to keep the plan on track
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Hold or willing to hold Baseline Australian Security Clearance
  • Located in Perth, Australia
