Retooling for the energy of tomorrow

In Upstream's latest article about Kent's transformative role in the energy sector, Scott Tanley, VP of USA Operations, reflects on the company’s impact and future opportunities:

"[Kent] is a full energy life-cycle company that has key resources including consultancy, front-end engineering and design for the oil, gas, renewable energy and chemical industries. The contractor also designs offshore platforms.

“We take that full lifecycle in the sense that through our process and FEED engagement, we'll take it through a detailed design into a full-scale procurement operation, and then we'll take it into either a project management type of programme… or delivery of engineering, procurement and construction,” he says.

Kent also integrates its commissioning, completion and start-up business into some EPC contracts.

“What we would like to do is, beyond start-up of the asset is become the project owner's partner. And we can do that through an owner's engineering engagement, or we can do it through EPC delivery and management of that asset,” adds Tanley."
