About the job:

Kent is looking for a Maintenance Coach that will be responsible for developing, mentoring, and guiding maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable execution of maintenance activities in oil and gas facilities. This role emphasizes maintenance execution excellence, including work planning, preparation, scheduling, and risk management, while promoting a strong safety culture and operational integrity.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Coaching & Mentoring

  • Provide coaching to maintenance supervisors and technicians on execution best practices.
  • Develop training programs for preventive and corrective maintenance, focusing on planning and risk mitigation.
  • Promote continuous improvement and adherence to company standards.

Maintenance Execution & Planning

  • Ensure robust work planning and preparation processes are followed.
  • Coach teams on job risk assessment, contingency planning, and safe work practices.
  • Coach planning and work preparation team in scheduling maintenance tasks, ensuring SCE are completed on time. Where this cannot be achieved, delay to work is risk assessed, and deviations are in place.
  • Scheduling maintenance activities to limit downtime on facility, coordinate work across different maintenance disciplines.

Inventory

  • Coach teams in inventory management and control of costs
  • Support team to develop bill of materials, min max levels and material tracking.

Technical Support

  • Guide teams on maintenance of equipment and liaise with Technical Authorities
  • Ensure compliance with OEM specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Reinforce compliance with HSE standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet regulatory and company requirements.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, schedule compliance, backlog).
  • Identify skill gaps and implement competency development programs.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance strategies and reliability plans.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Minimum 7–10 years in Oil & Gas maintenance, with strong experience in maintenance execution processes, including work planning, preparation, and risk management.

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • Expertise in maintenance planning and scheduling tools (SAP, Maximo).
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and reliability principles
