About the job:
Kent is looking for a Piping Drafter to be based in our Baytown, TX office and support regional project site(s).
The Piping Drafter will need to understand Inspection project requirements, reviewing and editing Inspection related drawings/documents, collaborating with team members, and incorporating feedback to improve the quality of the final product.
| Skills and Responsibilities: | |
Responsibilities: - Revision of Inspection related drawings.
- Conduct MFD/Isometric Inspection related document comparisons for accuracy as it relates to the individual and overall Inspection Circuit System.
- Applying specific knowledge, standards and norms established for each document, to guarantee that the requirements and needs raised by the client are met to ensure Quality and Compliance parameters are stipulated in the Final Product.
- Support the Inspection department in the review of all completed drawings/documents and ensure that all drawing requirements and standards are met as they relate to the Inspection guidelines set forth by the Client, in order to optimize and facilitate development of the drawings/documents needed to adequately implement the Inspections required by the Client in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Participate in the solution of findings from Inspection drawing reviews, according to the request of your Immediate Manager, to support the realization of a complete and accurate final product.
- Understand Inspection requirements and concepts
- Use various technical abilities to edit and draft appropriate Inspection related documents.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: - AAS in Design or a related field or working toward completion of degree program.
- Experience with AutoCAD software.
- Familiarity with MFDs and Isometrics.
- Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts).
- Teamwork skills.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude.
