About the job:


Kent is seeking Tool Crib Attendants to support project sites in/around Beaumont, TX (including Vidor, TX and Starks, LA) for a long-term Commissioning & Startup Project. These individuals will track the supply and use of equipment in the tool crib at commissioning/construction sites.

Your responsibilities:

Issue tools and equipment to maintenance personnel while recording the issues and returns. File, index and update inventory cards and record tools received from stockroom. Inspect new and repaired tools and equipment for proper operation. Report those that are worn, damages, lost or unsafe to use. Write requisitions and tallies for the repair or replacement of tools. Write transmittals for the release of tools and equipment to vendors for repair. Keep an accurate inventory of and maintain storage of tools. Perform necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment. Perform general cleanup, clerical or maintenance work incidental to the operation of the tool crib. Observe safe work practices according to company/client HSSE standards.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification: High School (or trade school) graduate with one year of mechanical maintenance experience. Skills Requirement: Good knowledge of machine shop and mechanical maintenance tools and their repair. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to keep simple records and calculations. Basic computer/Microsoft Office skills.

Communication: Full fluency in English is required.

Core Competencies: Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
