About the job:

Kent is looking for Tool Crib Attendants to support the team on a multi-year project based in multiple locations (starting in North Slope, Alaska).

You will be responsible for managing the distribution, tracking, and maintenance of tools and equipment used on a construction or EPC project site. This role ensures that all tools are available, functional, and properly stored to support field crews and project operations efficiently.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Issue and receive construction tools, equipment, and consumables to field personnel.
  • Track tool usage, locations, and inventory levels using manual logs or site-specific inventory systems.
  • Inspect tools for damage, wear, or calibration requirements before issuance.
  • Maintain a well-organized tool crib layout, ensuring easy access and clear labeling of items.
  • Coordinate tool and equipment repairs with vendors or internal maintenance teams.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits; identify shortages and assist in reordering processes.
  • Enforce tool crib protocols, including check-in/check-out procedures and lost tool reporting.
  • Ensure all tools meet safety and operational standards before release.
  • Support mobilization and demobilization phases by preparing tool kits and maintaining asset lists.
  • Comply with all site safety and security policies, including PPE and access control measures.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or logistics role on a construction or industrial project preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction tools, power equipment, lifting gear, and safety devices.
  • Experience with inventory tracking systems (e.g., CMMS, SAP, or project-specific software).

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-paced, outdoor project environment.
