About the job:

Kent is looking for a Third Party Inspection Coordinator based in Dubai, UAE.

The TPI Coordinator (Inspection) manages and coordinates all third-party inspection (TPI) activities for project materials and equipment. This role ensures timely planning, execution, and documentation of inspections at supplier locations, as well as effective communication between suppliers, TPI agencies, project teams, and quality engineers.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage TPI activities: stage, in-process, receipt, and final inspections at supplier sites.
  • Maintain familiarity with inspection terminologies and protocols (FAT, MRT, Built Reviews, RFIs, Inspection Notification, Inspection Assignment Packages, Pre-Inspection Meetings, Inspection Reports).
  • Liaise with third-party inspection agencies, understanding their services and presence.
  • Differentiate inspection services (Third Party, Second Party) and ensure proper execution.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between project teams, customers, and TPI agencies.
  • Identify inspectors, expedite inspection reports, and conduct preliminary review before forwarding to discipline QC engineers.
  • Ensure inspection reports are reviewed, logged, and tracked properly.
  • Maintain inspection planning register, inspection cost register, CVs of inspectors, blacklisted agencies, and forecast schedules.
  • Review and approve invoices from TPI agencies along with inspection reports.
  • Log, categorize, and forward incoming inspection notifications and reports to the respective quality engineers for review.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inspection status reports, and generate forecasts for upcoming inspection activities.
  • Prepare TPI requisitions, review offers, evaluate and shortlist inspection agencies.
  • Prepare procedures and formats required for inspections at supplier locations.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering background advantageous).
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in inspection coordination, preferably within EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Experience with inspection processes, documentation, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools.

Skills

  • Strong coordination and planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • High attention to detail for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong organizational and record-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple inspection activities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI).

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of inspection processes, protocols, and industry standards.
  • Understanding of Third-Party and Second-Party inspection services.
  • Stakeholder and vendor management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and validate inspection documentation.
  • HSSEQ awareness and adherence to compliance standards.

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

  • Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or Quality Management certification.
  • NEBOSH IGC or IOSH Managing Safely.
  • TPI agency-specific certifications (if applicable).
  • Project Management or Inspection Coordination courses.

HSSEQ:

  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with company HSSEQ standards. Promote safe practices, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in all inspection-related processes.
