About the job:

Kent is hiring a temporary Recruitment Coordinator for the UK Engineering and Consulting business on a 3 month PAYE basis. The Recruitment Coordinator will report to the Recruitment Manager and collaborate closely with the Recruitment Advisors based in Aberdeen and Woking. The position can be based in either location.

The Recruitment Coordinator will be required to contribute to the Talent Acquisition strategy for employees and contingent workforce that enables our UK business to provide technical and professional resources to our customers in a highly responsive way. This role will play a critical part in ensuring a seamless hiring process, maintaining recruitment data integrity, and supporting both candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment cycle. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple recruitment activities efficiently in an evolving environment.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with hiring managers and candidates to schedule interviews, send confirmations, and act as the main point of contact for any rescheduling requests.
  • Format and create inclusive and engaging job adverts, post vacancies on the Kent careers site and external job boards and respond to candidate queries via the UK recruitment mailbox.
  • Prepare and issue the weekly UK vacancy email to ensure visibility of current opportunities across the organisation and advertise opportunities via the internal communications hub.
  • Understand KPIs and contribute to the recruitment team’s performance metrics such as time to fill, source of hire and other recruitment related KPIs.
  • Update records on Kent ATS system and recruitment trackers, ensuring the highest level of data integrity.
  • Admin superuser for ATS: supports setting up recruitment workflows, candidate selection processes and hiring policies, defining and updating job requisition templates and field.
  • Generate and customise reports on recruiting activities and metrics in ATS.
  • Support the aims of the regional Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy in respect of Talent Acquisition.
  • Assist Recruitment Advisors with market mapping. Identify, attract, pre-screen and shortlist candidates to meet the current and future recruitment needs for the Engineering and Consulting business.
  • Ensure that recruitment best practices are compliant with relevant legislation and follow the Kent process and procedures as demonstrated within the Kent Management System (KMS).
  • Maintain strong working relationships with recruitment agencies, the energy sector community, local schools and universities, HR, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success and credibility.
  • Contribute to UK recruitment projects, continuous process improvements and internal network groups.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

  • A degree is not required for this role, what matters most is your experience, organisational skills, and passion for recruitment.

Communication:

  • Strong at building relationships both within the organisation and externally.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.

Behaviour/ Core Competencies:

  • Hands on experience in managing recruitment data, ensuring accuracy across applicant tracking systems, and supporting the end-to-end hiring process.
  • A focused and dedicated approach to providing effective customer service.
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality with a strong understanding and adherence to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural competencies.
  • The demonstrated ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to be professional, calm, flexible, resilient, solution oriented, and creative.
  • Strong understanding of all UK labour legislations (including IR35).
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information.

  • System focused with Oracle Recruit experience preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Leverage LinkedIn to source potential candidates.
