About the job:
Kent is hiring a Temporary Recruitment Advisor for the UK Engineering and Consulting business on a 3-month PAYE basis contract. The Recruitment Advisor will be required to contribute to the Talent Acquisition strategy for employees and contingent workforce that enables our UK business to provide technical and professional resources to our customers in a highly responsive way. The role will report to the UK Recruitment Manager. This role is a hands-on position and will be responsible for sourcing, market mapping and increasing candidate across the UK business.
Your responsibilities:
- Identify, attract, pre-screen and shortlist candidates to meet the current and future recruitment needs for the Engineering and Consulting business.
- Manage a portfolio of requisitions, facilitating the full recruitment process.
- Actively look for opportunities that will maximise the diversity of new hires joining the UK.
- Identify new sourcing attraction methods that will expand our pool of potential candidates.
- Support the aims of the regional Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy in respect of Talent Acquisition.
- Deploy best practice to hiring managers via interview and selection methods including, but not limited to, accountability for legal compliance, minimising risks and striving for achievement of diversity aspirations.
- Understand KPIs and contribute to the recruitment team’s performance metrics such as time to fill, source of hire and other recruitment related KPIs.
- Utilise and manage tools (job boards) as appropriate. Leverage what is already in place and introduce enhancements as appropriate.
- Maintain strong working relationships with recruitment agencies to create a partnership that yields success and credibility.
- Ensure recruitment best practice and are compliant with relevant legislation.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
- Experience in managing Engineering recruitment campaigns.
- Hands on experience with sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, evaluating, and hiring staff and contingent workers.
- Experienced in developing high level recruitment reports.
- A focused and dedicated approach to providing effective customer service.
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality with a strong understanding and adherence to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).
- Demonstrated cross-cultural competencies.
- The demonstrated ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to be professional, calm, flexible, resilient, solution oriented, and creative.
- Strong understanding of all UK labour legislations (including IR35).
- Demonstrated sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
