Skills and Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:

  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products at manufacturer’s premises
  • Review manufacturer’s ITP
  • Review Material Requisitions for inspection requirement
  • Conduct In process and Factory Accept test of static and rotating equipment as per ITP
  • Prepare / Review QA/QC reports regarding inspections, material and nonconformance issues.
  • Verify all necessary corrective actions are carried out in timely manner.
  • Ensure all equipment and special tools are available and suitably calibrated with valid certificates.
  • Functional test of E&I materials such as Switchgears, Panels, MCC, Motors, control valves, VSD and ESDV’s.
  • Attendance at FAT and SAT of all primary PLC, control and Fire and Gas systems.
  • Perform QS&I coordination activities as per project requirement

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) to management and clients.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and company policies.
  • Prepare Inspection Assignment Packages for equipment orders

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and other relevant codes and specifications.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards affecting the oil and gas industry.
  • Verify that all products and processes adhere to safety and environmental regulations.

Quality Assurance Support:

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to develop and implement quality control plans.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques.
  • Stay updated with the latest QC methods, tools, and best practices through continuous learning

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:

  • Degree / Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering.

Communication:

  • Computer literate, and very good knowledge of spoken and written English language including writing of technical reports/procedures and QA/QC documentation

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • Having Min. 10 Yrs. of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecommunication Inspection field in the Oil & Gas industry. (Construction and source inspection)
  • Must be experienced in interpreting and applying EPC Contractor and Vendor design documentation in the construction, testing and commissioning of all Electrical /instrumentation and control systems in Offshore/Onshore Oil and gas new construction large projects.
  • Familiarity with works related to cable termination, I/O checks, and simulation checks. Formal qualification for work activities associated with LV/HV Equipment, 6.6KV and 11KV

  • Employee is responsible for adhering to all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or incidents promptly, and actively participating in maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Ensure mandatory safety training are completed.
