About the job:

Kent is looking for a SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation) Designer to be based in Baytown, TX

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge and competency with SPI. Must demonstrate the ability to work to a high standard of professionalism within a team environment.

Skills and Responsibilities:

· Knowledge with SPI ESL layouts, macros, redlining, and smart text implementation

· Knowledge with customizing SPI specification forms

· Knowledge with source file data manipulation and interpretation for SPI data imports (identifying instrument types, service descriptions, equipment, etc.)

· Knowledge of exporting source domain SPI data and Import to a target SPI domain Knowledge with SPI import utility

· Basic Information Technology concepts including operating systems, server infrastructure, programming, etc.

· Knowledge with SPI import utility

· Knowledge with source file data manipulation and interpretation for SPI data imports (identifying instrument types, service descriptions, equipment, etc.)

· Knowledge of exporting source domain SPI data and Import to a target SPI domain

· SPI Data Replication Advanced Information Technology concepts including operating systems, server infrastructure, programming, etc.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

· The SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) SME classification is specific to the individuals who have Knowledge of SPI, Databases, Programming, and/or senior levels of Instrumentation/Control Systems industry standards and practices. The classification knowledge requirements are as follows:

· Advanced experience with SPI modules (Engineering and Design), SPI Import Utility, SPI Administration, Claims and Merges, SQL statements, and Interfaces between SPI and other applications

· Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Access, Database platforms, DBMS tools, SQL for Exporting data, Adobe Acrobat, CAD applications, and other software used for data implementation

· Minimum of 5+ years of experience

Communication:

· Ability to communicate effectively across location, region and corporate to accomplish objectives
