About the job:
Kent is looking for a Site Expeditor to be based in Port Arthur, TX to support the Golden Pass LNG Project within our CCSU business unit, working closely alongside our client and with support of the wider Kent group to provide procurement services for the project.
Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring vendors follow the Company’s and Client’s safety, health, sustainability, environmental requirements, delivering quality goods or services that meet specifications and satisfies Company needs.
  • Actively expediting the vendor to ensure that goods or services and required documentation are delivered per the original purchase order promised delivery date.
  • Monitor vendor delivery schedules and negate any impacts to the construction schedule.
  • Maintain expediting report and lead weekly material status meetings.
  • Report to the project team any delays with material deliveries.
  • Coordinating material deliveries with the vendor and warehouse personnel.
  • Coordinate with the buyer and vendor in resolving any material overages, shortages, damages or non-conformances.
  • Work with purchasing, vendors, and accounts payable to resolve any invoice issues.
  • Assist, when necessary, in buyers role
  • Assist buyers in close-out of purchase orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effectively communicate with various levels of management.
  • Knowledgeable of oil and gas plant equipment and materials.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems to manage expediting processes and generate reports.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Teams, document management systems.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues with suppliers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. (Preferred)
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
  • 5 years’ experience as an Expeditor/Buyer.

Communication:
  • Effectively communicate with various levels of management.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
