About the job:
Kent is looking for a The Intermediate Civil/Structural/Architectural Designer’s duties will be carried out under the direction/guidance of the Civil/Structural/Architectural Department Manager and the Lead Engineer or Lead Designer, and you will be responsible for the following areas:

Responsibilities:
- Structural design and 3D modelling of various structures and foundations.
- Civil design and 3D modelling of local roads, site grading, drainage systems etc.
- Review of design prepared by others.
- Preparation of drawings
- Review of drawings developed by other designers/drafters in CSA team
- Follow and ensure quality processes for checking and incorporation of comments in drawings and model are followed
- Resolve design difficulties and discuss with the CSA team members.
- Review project documents for technical accuracy.
- Identifying investigations, value engineering and special analysis needs on a project.
- Take part in 3D model reviews and constructability review.
- Determine and schedule work priorities meeting the project schedule.
- Establish good working relationships and communication with the client and other engineering disciplines both locally and other areas of the company.
- Assist in providing Home-Office technical support to engineering groups.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: |
|
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in an EPC environment including minimum 8 years for the Petrochemical and Refining facilities.

Communication:
- Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
|
|
Behavior/ Core Competencies:
- A good knowledge of the interdisciplinary requirements for Petrochemical and Refining projects.
- A good knowledge of workshare with multiple offices and High-Value Engineering Centers.
- Deep knowledge of Canadian design practices.
- Strong knowledge of 3D structural design (steel, concrete, foundations)
- Solid Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk Plant 3D/Advanced Steel, and other 3D modelling / CAD software.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills.
