About the job:
Kent is looking for a skilled and experienced Offshore Scheduler/Planner to be based in Hoston, TX

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project scheduling and planning within offshore environments, demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain accurate project schedules that align with project goals. This role requires a thorough understanding of offshore operations, safety standards, and resource planning to ensure successful project execution.
Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 software to ensure accurate timeline forecasts for offshore projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams to define work scopes, timelines, and resource requirements, maintaining schedule integrity and adapting as necessary to meet project changes.
  • Track and report on project milestones, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project objectives.
  • Evaluate schedule risks, create contingency plans, and propose solutions for potential scheduling conflicts, particularly those unique to offshore environments.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather and integrate updates into the schedule, supporting seamless project flow.
  • Perform critical path analysis to optimize timelines and resources, improving project efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for stakeholders, delivering clear insights into project timelines, resource allocation, and overall status.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of offshore materials and equipment, integrating these timelines into the project schedule.
  • Implement and manage progress measurement processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on project deliverables.
  • Analyze and report on project productivity, identifying areas for improvement and proposing strategies to optimize performance.
  • Assist in budget forecasting related to scheduling impacts, providing insights on resource utilization and cost implications for schedule changes.
  • Lead regular schedule review meetings with project stakeholders, communicating updates, delays, or required changes and addressing any scheduling concerns.
  • Support the implementation of safety and environmental regulations in scheduling practices to ensure compliance with offshore standards.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of project scheduling/planning experience, with at least 3 years focused on offshore projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Strong understanding of offshore construction, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced offshore environments and handle scheduling challenges unique to offshore work.

Communication:
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills required.
