The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Perth. You will be responsible for coordinating engineering deliverables and progress reporting for medium-sized projects or grouped scopes. This role involves facilitating communication between Engineering and Project Management teams, planning and scheduling engineering activities, monitoring progress, and developing recovery plans as needed. You will assist in preparing project execution plans, ensuring compliance with ISO Quality frameworks, and supporting tendering and proposal work. Key duties include attending project meetings, resolving technical issues, maintaining project registers, and providing feedback to supervisors. Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
Day to Day, your role will include:
- Coordinates the interfaces between the Engineering team and the Project Management team and ensures effective transfer of information between the two
- Participates in the planning and scheduling of the scope of Engineering for the project and provides inputs to the project technical document register
- Monitor the engineering progress, addresses shortfalls, assists in developing recovery plans where required and ensures plans are implemented
- Provides feedback to Direct Supervisor and engineering discipline supervisors as and when required on the progress
- Coordinates preparation and presentation of the final documentation in accordance with requirements of the Client acceptance certificates
- Ensures compliance with Kent’s ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures. Complying with other Kent accredited frameworks such as ISO14001
- Attend all key project and vendor meetings and minute where required by the PM or EM
- Coordinates the production of the engineering deliverables for an area of a project or a small project/study, in accordance with the plan. Coordinates input from multiple offices, engineering disciplines, procurement, project controls and third parties
About you:
Our future colleague will need to have a very solid experience of FEED/Detailed Design and EPC Projects. Related experience working for Engineering/Client Organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition Industry.
