Role scope



Contractor will provide a dedicated Senior Network Engineer to the Woodside Digital Infrastructure Strategy, Security & Engineering for a 12-month period commencing on the 1st March 2025.



Works will normally be performed in the Woodside Office at Mia Yellagonga, 11 Mount Street, Perth WA 6000, or at other Woodside locations in the Perth metropolitan area. Travel will be required to Woodside production facilities on an as-needs basis.



Activities within this scope will include, but are not limited to:



  • WEL OT Network Remediation Program of Work



With expected tasks to include, but not be limited to:



  • Analyse and understand business and customer requirements, in order to frame-up and produce a detailed technical project delivery plan. Produce documentation as required to deliver the project objectives, including:

    • High-Level Designs

    • Low-Level Designs

    • Resource and Hardware Estimates

    • Schedule and Execution

    • Change Plans


  • Delivery of project activities in accordance with the requirements of the Network Lead and Project Managers and the DXO Delivery Framework.

  • Work in alignment with Woodsides Values and Code of Conduct.

  • Support management of Vendors and vendor deliverables.

  • Follow all standards and guidelines as described within the OMF including WEL and Australian Standards.

  • Engage multi-disciplinary support across IT and related teams.

  • Travel to a Woodside production facility

  • Support project timelines by managing stakeholders, deliverables, and interfacing across disciplines, including the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP).

  • Focus on performance in areas of safely, risk, quality, cost, and schedule.

  • Keeping Program and Project Managers fully informed on performance including and continuous improvement status.

  • Working with stakeholders to ensure resources (people, tooling etc) are used in the most efficient manner with a focus on improving productivity for the specific project and cross projects as required.

  • Apply change management processes (MOC) where changes and engage relevant managers / decision makers to support those changes.

  • Where changes must be made to protect cost, schedule, or functionality, supporting decision makers with understanding the issues involved and the options, risks, and trade-offs available for proceeding.

  • Providing updates and reports to relevant stakeholders on activity progress.

  • Effective communication with Asset owners on safe working procedures and activity progress.


Ensuring site activities are executable within the designated site hours and rates. Where emergent and unplanned work prompts excess hours, these shall be reported to the Network Lead and reasonable hours for time in lieu shall be provided by Woodside at relevant rate.




Qualifications




  • As minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field

  • 12-17 years relevant experience

  • Have worked for at least 5 years in similar positions for an international company

  • Work in office and Site based environments

  • Capable of using the appropriate software

  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical attributes

  • Able to effectively communicate technical issues to peers and line manager (written and verbal) and hold presentations to project lead and Clients when required

  • Capability of collating, verifying and handling information and producing/following instructions

  • Adequate capability in using engineering knowledge and understanding to apply technical and practical skills

  • Adequate knowledge and understanding of technical requirements in own field and level

  • Design, development, checking and solving engineering problems

  • Analysing, integrating and interpreting results

  • Capability of reviewing, controlling and ability to direct the work of engineers in own field

  • Ownership of responsibility for work of self and others

  • Communication and interpersonal skills to hold presentation and keep audience interested

  • Professional commitment in following appropriate code of professional conduct, recognising obligations to society, the profession and the environment

  • Capability of planning, implementing and controlling work in own field

  • Capabilities in estimating and forecasting
