Kent is looking for an HSSEQ Specialist to support our company and ongoing projects.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Management of Work Control Activities: prepare the Work Control documents required by clients for entry to their facilities, consistent with the activities that are scheduled at these sites with employees and contractors, following the instructions or standards in force; ensure that the company's employees and/or subcontractors are aware of the content of the Work Control documents required by each client to enter its facilities, carrying out the induction or orientation processes that are necessary; participate in the planning meetings of planned activities with the client, ensuring that the scope of the activities that we are going to carry out in their facilities with employees and/or subcontractors is disseminated to the client's representatives; and maintain continuous communication with the customer's representatives responsible for industrial safety, occupational health, process safety, environmental and physical security issues, so that it is possible to anticipate the hazards to which employees and subcontractors are exposed when they visit their facilities,
- HSE Report Management: Inform, communicate and timely report unsafe acts and conditions, work accidents, incidents, emergencies and environmental impacts, complying with the procedures and controls defined by the client and the organization; and to present the periodic reports that are assigned by the Quality-HSE Manager, verifying that they include the results of indicators, internal audits, statistics of corrective and preventive actions and compliance with work schedules, generating action plans that allow the continuous improvement of the management systems within the organization and the project.
- Quality, Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Management Systems: Lead, plan and administer the Quality, Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental management programs defined for the company and projects, ensuring compliance and control of the legal requirements of the client and voluntarily subscribed by the organization.
- Implementation and Application of the Kent Management System (KMS): Plan, adapt and direct the implementation and application of corporate guidelines for the management system, using as references the applicable international standards and procedures defined at the corporate level, with the aim of aligning activities in Colombia to corporate processes and ensuring that it contributes in a timely and effective manner to the fulfillment of global objectives.
- Continuous Improvement Programs: Design, manage and control the company's Continuous Improvement Programs, based on the best practices applied in the energy and oil and gas sectors, with the objective of encouraging the participation of personnel in the improvement of processes and ensuring that savings are periodically visualized, increases or decreases, depending on the variables under analysis.
- Sustainability: Support the development of the programs defined by the company in terms of sustainability, managing the allocation of human, physical and economic resources necessary for their implementation, monitoring and controlling objectives and goals, in accordance with the policies established by Kent and the requirements of customers.
- Security: Coordinate with the physical security areas of the clients, implement the procedures, instructions and recommendations that are generated in the matter and with the tools available in the organization, carry out risk assessments in the geographical locations where the project activities are carried out, seeking to reduce and control, as much as possible, exposure to public safety risks for the company's personnel.
- Lessons Learned: Lead the Lessons Learned process following the corporate guidelines for the acquisition, generation, transfer and safeguarding of knowledge, coordinating the holding of workshops related to the topic and managing repositories of related information, in such a way that the knowledge remains in the company and is accessible to the members who require it.
- Internal Audit Programs and Inspections of Quality Assurance and Control, Safety, Occupational Health and Environment: Plan, schedule and verify that audits and inspections of quality assurance and control and safety, health and environment are executed, defining the periodic programs that are required, timely reporting the results generated and monitoring their compliance, with the purpose of having control tools, additional and independent to those used by the people who manage their own processes and/or areas.
- In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
- Industrial, mechanical, civil or petroleum engineer.
- Specialization in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Occupational Health License at the Professional level.
- Specialization in Integrated Management Systems or related.
- Ability to identify hazards and assess risks in conventional office facilities and industrial plants in the oil and gas sector.
- Ability to identify environmental aspects and impacts in conventional office facilities and industrial plants in the oil and gas sector.
- Ability to diagnose, evaluate, propose and design alternative solutions to safety, occupational health and environmental problems that arise in the execution of projects.
- Ability to perform analysis of management indicators and generate reports with analysis and action plans.
- High motivation for self-learning through online, synchronous and asynchronous learning management systems (Learning Management Systems).
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 integrated management systems.
- Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standard models.
- General knowledge of engineering service, deliverables, engineering design software, project management services, and field technical assistance.
- 50-hour course defined in Decree 1072 of 2015
- Intermediate English.
Communication:
- Excellent command of the Spanish – English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
Behavior/ Core Competencies:
6 to 8 years developing activities of supervision, inspector, auditor, technical manager or inspector of occupational safety and health in projects in the oil and gas, energy and/or construction and/or engineering sector.
Experience of 6 to 8 years in the execution, coordination and monitoring of processes and activities related to industrial safety, occupational health, environment and quality management.
HSSEQ:
The Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; it’s clients and the governing authorities of the host country.
