About the job:
Kent is recruiting for a Senior Field Civil/Structural Designer based in Iraq in 6 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotational basis.
You will be required to support all phases of the projects to suit the needs and requirements of Kent as well as our Client.
Skills and Responsibilities:
· Be a team leader, manage, and add value to the assigned project
· Manage Coordination/Communication with other disciplines, Contractors and Client.
· Review Client’s deliverables, as required, and ensure all engineering and design work performed meets quality, cost and schedule requirements.
· Ensure all design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the Client or to agreed industry standards.
· Carry out and participate in site surveys, review site reports and ensure it is as per actual site conditions.
· Duties include, as applicable to own field, photographs and field notes, physical measurements using calibrated equipment, review of changes, application of specifications…etc.
· If required, perform designing work and produce deliverables as part of the team.
· Ability to interpret Client specifications.
· Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
· Consult Quality Assurance with any quality issues, ensuring compliance with ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures.
· Identifying issues and problems, developing appropriate solutions, advising Client, and asking for assistance when required.
· Where required participate in multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews and provides all necessary Civil/Structural engineering input and support to close out of actions.

· Participate in multi-discipline Design Reviews and provides all necessary Piping & Layout engineering input and support to close out of actions.
· Provide support during fabrication, site construction, and commissioning activities.
· Understanding of Structural Material Selection and develop MTOs.
· Prepare material take-offs including pipe, fittings, valves, to support various cost estimates as required by the project.
· Adequate knowledge of interfacing Piping, Mechanical…etc., deliverables including Installation and tie-ins, equipment Location Layouts…etc.
· Experience in reviewing Plot Plans, General Arrangement drawings, Pipe support details & layouts etc.
· Experience in AutoCAD, CAD Worx & Microstation.
· Experience in 3D (PDMS, AVEVA & SP3D) modelling of Structural etc.
· Able to extract Drawings & reports from the modeling software.
· Good Working knowledge in review software Navisworks etc.
· Maintaining project documentation.
· Reviewing vendor and in-house coordination drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
· Review and check bill of material reports extracted from models.

These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. · 10+ years relevant experience
