About the job:
Kent is looking for a Senior Estimator to be based in Houston, TX. This position can be either part-time or full-time.

You will be a highly skilled and experienced TIC (Total Installed Cost) EPC Estimator with proficiency in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE) software and site craft experience.

You will be responsible for developing accurate and detailed cost estimates for EPC projects, ensuring that all elements of the projects are accounted for and supporting project teams to achieve cost-effective solutions
Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed and accurate TIC estimates for EPC projects using Aspentech software.
  • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand the scope of work and required resources.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather necessary data and information for estimating purposes.
  • Perform cost analysis and develop pricing strategies for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Prepare comprehensive estimate reports and present findings to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure estimates comply with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties in the estimating process and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and cost drivers.
  • Support the development and improvement of estimating tools, processes, and methodologies..
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred and a minimum of 5 years of experience in EPC estimating.
  • Proficiency in Aspentech software required.
  • Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
  • Proven experience with site craft and an understanding of field operations and labor productivity..

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
