Our project teams are assigned to all of the remote Sakhalin-1 locations, covering hundreds of kilometres.
Location: Sakhalin Island, Far East Russia
Operator: Exxon Neftegas Limited
Duration: 2008 - present
Scope: Multi-disciplinary Maintenance & Engineering Support Services

In August 2015, Kent were re-awarded the long term contract on the Sakhalin-1 Project by Exxon Neftegas Limited, for the execution and management of maintenance and modification services associated with general electrical, instrumentation, control / automation, telecommunication disciplines, and electrical & mechanical services to the HVAC systems. This was in succession to the completion of the previous contract which commenced in December 2008.

A key factor in Kent being awarded this contract was the successful execution of the previous 6 year E,I,C&A,T contract, all of which had been executed without a lost time incident. As of end 2021, we have executed over 2 million work hours in maintenance services on Sakhalin-1 since 2008, all LTI free. Since our contract renewal in 2015 we have suffered zero incidents.

This high level of safety commitment and performance resulted in the Kent project team being awarded many safety accolades from their client, including being awarded ENL’s Sakhalin-1 Contractor of the Year in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2018.

Our project teams are assigned to all of the remote Sakhalin-1 locations, covering hundreds of kilometres, principal work locations of Sakhalin-1 being the Chayvo Onshore Processing Facility (OPF), Odoptu FSP, Orlan Platform, the DeKastri Terminal and Single Point Mooring system as well as valve station locations along the Crude and Gas Product Pipelines.

The Kent maintenance support scope was recently expanded with the introduction of Russia’s largest offshore platform, the Berkut in the Arktun-Dagi field. The services provided under the E,I,C&A,T maintenance and modification agreement cover all aspects associated with the technical, QHSE, procurement and logistical requirements necessary to support the operations and production systems of the facilities.
