About the job:
This is a site-based role (site is located approx. 20km from Brisbane CBD) which will require you to conduct compliance inspections, surveillance and checks of incoming fabricated mechanical equipment, as well as construction and installation inspections of mechanical equipment within a refinery.
Essentially your role will be to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, drawings and customer requirements, and that means attention to detail is essential and ability to comply with the contractual requirements of the client and with the company KMS requirements is required.
Your Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Site QC Lead, you will work with the rest of the quality, construction and site-based team members to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, drawings and customer requirements.
- As part of the role, you will be required to use construction management tools and documents such as Checklists, Reports, ITPs, ITRs etc.
- Completion of the inspection workflow will include review of inspection work packs, preparation and administrative processing of inspection reports (including detailed photos) and storing the records.
- Involvement in the Work Packs from Construction to Mechanical Completion.
- Conduct Material and Equipment receipt inspections and complete condition inspection reports
- Coordinate and/or undertake inspection activities and prepare inspection records as per the ITPs
- Communicate with third party quality inspectors and specialist examination bodies/subcontractors to ensure that procedures and testing methods comply with the relevant standards.
- Participate in site surveillance as requested by the QC Lead
- Ensure Quality records are progressively completed and signed off in accordance with the works.
- In an honest and constructive manner, actively support and communicate with your fellow employees on Quality and Safety related topics.
About You:
Our ideal Candidate will have a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade, Engineer or equivalent along with a White Card - CPCCWHS1001 Card or equivalent. Previous Mechanical Inspection experience in major Oil & Gas projects would be advantageous.
