About The Job: -
Working in the PMC Project Management Team for a Portfolio of Energy Transition Projects to be based in Vienna, Austria
Your Responsibilities: -
Job Purpose & Scope: -

• Ensure HSSE goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement.
• Responsible for all Project Controls functions for the assigned Project including coordinating with all FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) on the Project to ensure that all Project Controls related work products are prepared and completed in compliance with Project and Corporate standards and requirements.
• To ensure Project Controls personnel assigned to the assigned Project are trained and are competent to perform their duties.
• To highlight in a timely manner any concerns and/or deviations from the assigned Project schedule and cost to Project Management so mitigation measures can be identified and actioned.
• To provide functional assurance through guidance and advice in the development and implementation of processes, procedures and systems operating within the Project Controls function to meet assigned Project requirements.
• To ensure the Project Controls function is resourced with the correct quality of resource to support the assigned Project requirements to produce quality work products to ensure that the assigned Project is completed within cost and schedule.
• To provide the necessary business assurance through auditing and monitoring of key performance indicators to ensure the overall quality of assigned Project execution is achieved.

Principal Accountabilities: -

• Champion the Project Safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities.
• Provide overall Project Controls management and guidance to the PMT to ensure that the assigned Project is completed on time and on budget.
• To bring Project Controls knowledge and experience to the PMT.
• Lead all Project Controls activities with respect to Planning, Cost Management, Risk Management and Estimating for the assigned Project.
• Lead the review and approval of FEED/EPCM Contractor’s Project Controls procedures and modify as necessary to meet assigned Project requirements and ensure that all approved FEED/EPCM Contractor’s procedures are implemented and verified on a regular basis.
• Lead Project Controls Team meetings and identify and assign staff to Project Controls positions consistent with individual’s abilities and learning & development plans.
• Ensure the Quality, timeliness and consistency of Project Controls work produced by the Project Controls team.
• Develop WBS and CBS to effectively manage the assigned Project schedule and cost.
• Develop Project Controls procedures and maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and standards.
• Preparation of the overall Project schedule, Project milestones and schedule basis in accordance with the execution strategies for PMT management review and approval.
• Preparation of the overall assigned Project budget based on the approved estimate.
• Develop and manage the Change Management process.
• Develop and manage the Risk Management process.
• Monitoring the progress of all FEED/EPCM Contractors to ensure schedule and cost compliance, identifying and taking corrective actions where necessary.
• Establish assigned Project reporting requirements, cut off and issue dates for all FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) and internal reports, including summary level Project Dashboard and Power BI Tools.
• Review and analyse assigned Project progress and cost reports from FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) and report to key stakeholders in a timely manner, any slippages, Change Orders, overruns and critical path activities, underpinning the assigned Project schedule.
• Management of assigned Project float and contingencies.
• Participate in FEED/EPCM Contractor audits as Project Controls function auditor.
• Analyse emerging situations in a timely manner to identify problems and evaluate appropriate course of action to remedy.
• Provide training to PMT members in Project Controls and Project execution.

Your Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: -
Minimum Requirements: -
• BSc in Engineering, Construction or Project Management
• Total sixteen (16) years experiences of which at least twelve (12) years direct involvement in Project management, planning, scheduling, cost estimation, cost and budget control, procurement, tracking and monitoring/forecasting of engineering and construction activities for major Oil and Gas Projects
• Functional management, leadership and teambuilding skills
• Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision
• Able to make decisions and solve problems related to a specific discipline/field
• Responsible for own work product with minimal guidance and oversight from immediate supervisor
• Establishes credibility with peers and supervisors and makes good use of their time
• Exercises judgment in making decisions; knows when to seek advice

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Professional communication skills –Able to communicate with peers, customers, and vendors.
Core Competencies: -
• Demonstrated experience in working in an Oil and Gas or Energy Company in Project Controls role.
• Knowledgeable of Oil and Gas Project Execution and Project Controls, and Project drivers.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of disciplines in a FEED/EPCM Project Execution setting.
• Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize competing tasks.
