Skills and Responsibilities: |
- Assist and support senior project engineers, project managers and directors to manage all aspects of projects from design to implementation and handover.
- Be a team player, collaborate, and add value to the assigned project.
- Coordinate/Communicate with other disciplines, Contractors, and Clients.
- As assigned by the senior project engineers or leader, coordinate with clients to develop/finalise project specifications to meet their project needs, with the ability to interpret Client specifications.
- Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the agreed projects’ Quality Assurance system.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and advise senior project engineers or leader and Client, and ask for assistance when required.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in Project Management.
- Review overall quality of the project (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Review the various inputs to the overall Project Plan and identify dependencies, issues, and inconsistencies. Suggest schedule changes where required.
- Cooperate and communicate with Engineering disciplines and other Project Stakeholders to help and technical support, as and when required.
- Review assigned key deliverables submitted by Contractor and advise appropriate comments and improvement actions.
- Conduct regular meetings with the project team, Client, and Contractor as well as key stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.
- Assist in the selection of suitable vendors and subcontractors.
- Identify risks and establish/maintain a risk register, and suggest risk mitigation plans.
- Monitor project budget/schedule and share feedback to Client.
- Assist the project controls team in management of changes.
- Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports and presentations and deliver presentations.
- Track performance and analyse the completion of key goals and advise on critical issues that may cause delays.
- Monitor adherence to performance standards, specifications, QA/QC rules, and related regulations and processes.
- Assist project management and Clients in developing key performance indicators (KPIs).
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development. |
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: |
Qualification/ Certification: - As minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred).
- 4-7 years relevant experience.
- At least 3 years in similar positions for an international company.
- Prior experience in a process engineer role(s) is beneficial.
Skills Requirement: - Excellent interpersonal and analytical attributes.
- Able to effectively communicate technical issues to peers and line manager and hold presentations to project management and Clients (written and verbal).
- Ability to work in Kent office or Client office (interface focal point), based on project requirements.
- Proficient in basic planning software (MS Project, P6 etc.)
