About the job:
Kent is looking for a Lead Project Controller to be based in Houston, TX
Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and Update Project Forecast
    • Monitor costs and commitments allocated to the project
    • Review and revise forecast cost to go – directs (based on approved change, PF performance, etc); indirects; subcontractors, material, plant and equipment, and other associated costs
    • Update revenue forecast based on agreed change management
  • Management of Change
    • Development unit rates for change
    • Review all answers to Requests For Information and assess any cost impacts
    • Prepare and submit cost proposals for change (initiated through RFI’s or Client requests)
    • Prepare / review updates to cost proposals and gather required back-up (for preparation and submission of final actual costs
    • Lead internal weekly meeting with Project on status of change
    • Development and maintenance of the Weekly Status Report on cost spent against ongoing Change Orders for submission
    • Maintenance of the Change Notice Status Report for the project
  • Others
    • Input into weekly and monthly reports
    • Input into internal monthly Project Performance Report
  • Communicate with corporate and project leadership on an ongoing basis regarding status of project cost

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
  • Minimum 10 years Project Controls experience within Oil & Gas Industry
  • Minimum 5 years Construction Project Controls experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, Finance, or Economics preferred
  • Effective communication, analytical and presentation skills required
  • Proficient with Excel, and preferably PowerBI, and able to analyze large amounts of data
  • Experience working within challenging Client Programs
Communication:
  • Ability to communicate effectively across location, region and corporate to accomplish objectives
