Scope of Work:

Kent is looking for Principal Control and Instrumentation Engineer to be based in Woking for 6 months duration initially.

Deliverables:

  • Carry out FEED design deliverables
  • Prepare RFQ packages for the Instrumentation packages to the required Client, Company and Project procedures and standards
  • Review Vendors quotations, prepare technical bid evaluations and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor
  • Technically approve Order Variation Summaries
  • Hold co - ordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as required
  • Liaise with other Disciplines and Client as necessary
  • Assess progress and procedure associated with reports and input to the Delivery Management System. Derive and suggest plans to recover slippage, correct inefficiency and to take any resulting agreed actions
  • Advise project management team of any major slippages and their causes, all policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Disciplines, and requests for changes by the Client which may constitute a contract change
  • Control and support management of discipline hours
  • Prepare, check, approve and provide technical input into project deliverables to the required quality standards in conformance with or better than, the approved budget and program
  • To provide relevant knowledgeable practical skills in response and actions for: -
  • Site visits and site surveys
  • Site queries, discussions and optioneering
  • Supplier, vendor, contractor, client, and site related discussions

Key Requirements

  • ​​​Typically Master's Degree in Instrument or Electrical Engineering.
  • ​Chartered Status and significant related experience working for Engineering / Client organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Worked closely with a multinational global team.
  • ​Excellent Communication skills.
  • ​Tactful in resolving issues.
  • ​Exposure to Consultancy, FEED / Detailed Design and EPC projects.
  • ​Knowledge of international equipment specifications and costs.
  • ​In depth knowledge of standard international specifications and codes.
  • ​Knowledge of Safety and Quality procedures.
