About the job:
We are seeking an Payroll Assistant to join our Finance team. This is a fixed-term assignment for three (3) months.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements and best practices along with a proven ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and accuracy.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
• Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, wage changes and deductions.
• Provide customer service support to employees by researching issues and answer payroll related questions.
• Support in audit of timesheets for accuracy/compliance and communicate with employees and managers to make timely corrections.
• Support collaboration with HR team to ensure accurate employee data management.
• Generate payroll reports and perform regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits and assist with payroll-related reporting as needed.
• Assist and support other projects as needed.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
• Minimum of 2 years payroll processing experience
• Proficient in ADP workforce Now is a must
• Proficient in excel.
Communication:
• Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
Behavior/ Core Competencies:
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to handle high-volume tasks
