Scope of Work:

Kent is looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment - Outside of IR35 to be based in Aberdeen for 12 month duration.

Key Deliverables:

• Prepare and review mechanical equipment engineering specifications.
• Prepare and/or review datasheets for mechanical equipment.
• Prepare material requisitions for quote (MRQ), technical bid evaluations (TBE), material requisitions for purchase (MRP) and review vendor’s documentation for mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with Industry codes and standards, such as ASME and API.
• Specialist working knowledge of Mechanical Rotating deliverables such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, Datasheets, Specifications, Requisitions, etc.
• Specialist experience, as required, in Mechanical Rotating Calculations/Selection, such as Pumps, Compressors and Turbines, etc.
• Ability to conduct specialist failure analysis and provide recommendations for failed rotating equipment.
• Specialist experience with design, engineering, installation, troubleshooting and major repair of typical Rotating equipment, such as Compressors, Pumps and Generators, etc.
• Experience with rotating equipment and piping field installation, integration, commissioning, and testing.
• Participate in site surveys (onshore/offshore), SIT/FAT, etc.
• Review Contractor and third-party site/equipment survey reports, and provide feedback and recommendations
• Experience in management of operations and maintenance regimes for rotating equipment, including input into RBI strategies, MMS and providing recommendations for ageing equipment.
• Experience with providing guidance for obsolete equipment and options for maintenance, repair, upgrade and replacement.

Key Requirements:

• Degree qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Ability to demonstrate competent knowledge rotating equipment and associated systems
• Experience working with OEMS
• Will be competent at producing Mechanical deliverables including Rotating equipment Datasheets, Equipment lists, survey and asset integrity reports
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
