About the job:
Kent is looking for a Logistics Assistant to be based in Guyana.
You will serve as the central hub for communication and logistics, ensuring effective tracking, coordination, and compliance throughout equipment calibration and management processes.
Skills and Responsibilities: |
Responsibilities: - Act as the main point of contact for receiving, reviewing, and approving client test and safety equipment calibration and service requests.
- Provide regular updates to clients on equipment status, recalibration timelines, repairs, and replacements, including notifications of potential delays or available repair options.
- Oversee the receipt, logging, cleaning, tagging, and tracking of all equipment using the Equipment Status Checklist and database systems.
- Maintain a master inventory list categorized by project and track calibration status, due dates, certificates, and ownership.
- Arrange and manage logistics for offshore equipment collection, coordinating with client teams for logistics and work scheduling.
- Monitor outsourced calibration and repairs by planning shipments, tracking shipments and statuses, and following up with vendors to ensure timely updates and receipts.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Department for spare parts, consumables, replacement quotes, and invoice accuracy, ensuring seamless alignment with cost engineers and finance.
- Compile and share Weekly Equipment Status Reports with internal teams and clients, documenting all ongoing work, completed calibrations, and equipment readiness for offshore deployment.
- Liaise with client and company teams and Technical Specialists on in-house workflows and prioritize equipment outsourcing when necessary.
- Prepare and update all documentation related to calibration and service workflows, including vendor updates, service certificates, inspection logs, and calibration lifecycle tracking.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development. |
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: | |
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: - Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in logistics, coordination, or equipment management.
- Proficiency in managing logistics and tracking systems with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 compliance standards or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of managing inventory, reports, and equipment life cycles
