Kent is looking for a Graduate Process Safety Engineer in Calgary.
Skills and Responsibilities: | |
Responsibilities: - Preparation, scribing, and working closely with facilitators in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZID, HAZOP, SILA, LOPA, and Bow Ties.
- Consequence analysis through the Modeling and Simulation of Fire and Explosion scenarios using industry standard software.
Produce high quality technical deliverables including calculations, analyses, technical reports.
Familiarize and become adept at using in-house tools for Facility Siting Studies and Quantitative Risk Assessments. - Support Senior and Principal Process Safety Consultants in project work and ongoing client consultancy activities such as project management, results presentation, and Business Development.
- Working closely with other members in the team as well as other disciplines within Kent and represent Safety in various multi-disciplinary scopes.
- Develop your technical skills and competence in risk identification, risk assessment, and risk management methodologies.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: | |
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: - Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred).

- Interest in tool development and process optimization through programming applications (e.g., VBA, Python, Matlab).
