About the Job
Kent is seeking an experienced Timekeeper to join our team and support a project based in Port Arthur, Texas. This role is critical for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant tracking of employee hours and labor data for project employees across all disciplines. The Timekeeper serves as the primary point of contact for time-related reporting and will work closely with site management to ensure alignment with company and client requirements.

Skills and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Collect, review, and validate daily timesheets for all employees on site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project, company, and client requirements.
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly labor reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor working hours, overtime, and attendance, flagging discrepancies and escalating issues as needed.
• Organize and maintain timekeeping records and ensure proper authorization for overtime.
• Support payroll processing by providing accurate, approved data to corporate teams in a timely manner.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee timekeeping questions and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors or management, aligned with professional development and workload balance, to ensure flexibility in meeting evolving project needs.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/Qualifications/Training/Certifications:
Education & Experience
• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in timekeeping or payroll coordination for large-scale or industrial projects.

Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with Excel skills required).
• Experience with timekeeping or payroll systems preferred.
• Strong ability to manage data, identify discrepancies, and generate accurate reports.

Communication
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels, clients, and external partners.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
