About the job:

Kent is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to join our West Houston, TX office. You will support the business units in implementing and administering HR activities and programs. The successful candidate will report to the HR Director.

Your responsibilities:
  • Provides subject matter expertise on HR policies, guidance and interpretation to client groups
  • Collaborates with others to continually improve HR processes, guidelines and SOPs
  • Investigates HR issues from reporting to resolution
  • Supports client groups with performance management
  • Assists in the improvement, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Works individually or with others on HR projects as needed
  • Supports key HR processes, including performance management, talent development, training & development and rewards & recognition
  • Develops and improves employee onboarding and offboarding experiences
  • Assists in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Facilitates HR training and presentations
  • Promotes HR programs and initiatives
  • Provides support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolves any issues that may arise
  • Gathers and analyzes data with HR metrics and prepares reports utilizing the HRIS
  • Prepares a variety of HR documentation, communication and reports
  • Ensures compliance with labor regulations and company policies
  • Builds credible relationships with front and mid-level leaders through trust, collaboration and effective communication
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • Professional HR Certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of FLSA and HR best practices
  • Minimum 5 years progressive human resources experience

  • Extensive process and procedure development skills
  • MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) proficiency required
  • Experience with Oracle software preferred
