The Opportunity:

We are looking for a HSSE Advisor to join our Brisbane Projects Team to work closely with engineering and technical disciplines on exciting projects and support our clients to deliver projects.

The HSSE Advisor will support the onsite HSSE team with the coordination and implementation of the company HSSE management program on one of our Brisbane Projects. In this role you will support on the field and the Project and Operation teams in all aspects of safety, occupational health, and environmental issues. The HSSE Advisor will be a hands-on support to implement, improve, monitor, and resolve any HSSE matters.

In this role, you will undertake the following duties:

• Facilitate and provide support and guidance on effective HSSE risk management in your area of responsibility by performing daily reviews on StepBacks, Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
• Promote Hazard identification and reporting and identity unsafe working conditions and behaviors.
• Attend Risk Reviews and HSSE meetings as per the requirement of the Company & Project HSSE plan.
• Conduct daily inspections and periodic audits aligned to project HSSE schedules and address corrective actions proactively.
• Conduct evaluation of pre-employment medicals with HR and advise on any health plans in consultation with the Project HSSE Manager.
• Closely monitor the compliance with the permit to work system as applicable on work sites.
• Ensure the emergency response preparedness plan is fully implemented and employees are aware of the emergency protocols.
