Job Description – Piping, Engineer
Knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
We are looking for an experienced PIPING (Layout), Engineer to be based in Mumbai/Vadodara office, who will have around 5+ years relevant Piping Design & Detail Engineering experience, mostly in the field of Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical or Chemical sector with large EPC companies or Engineering Consulting organizations. You should be effective with verbal and written communication skills.
Core Competencies:
- Concepts of flexibility / Stress Analysis.
- Develop Piping Studies & Other Deliverables as per LE instructions.
- Check input documents & deliverables.
- Co-ordinate within team for smooth document flow and maintain track of it.
- Isometric for Stress analysis
- Inter co-ordination between layout, material & stress teams and maintaining the progress.
- MTO pick up & Isometric checking.
- Exposure to design of piping layouts for process plants.
- Exposure to design codes and its applications, knowledge of statutory codes will be advantage.
- Working as per the quality and safety requirement standards
- Adopting a flexible and open approach towards the needs of projects.
- Assisting the LE or an Area LE in design activities and co-ordination within project team.
- Maintaining daily status of progress with the designers. Monitoring the document flow and revisions.
- Good communication & presentation skills.
Qualification/ Certification:
- Masters/Bachelor of Engineering OR Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering from Indian University (UGC approved) or from Overseas University
Software Tools:
- Computer Applications: Windows operating systems.
- Exposure to 3D design tools preferred.
- Exposure to review packages like SPR/Navis works
Communication:
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Presentation and business communication skill
- Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner
- Communicate effectively with the team and with the projects team.
- Attend project and team meeting
Details about the role:
- Location: Mumbai
- Travel required: At times for job requirements, at various other Kent offices across the globe. Also, may involve deputation to other Kent offices / Client offices on a short term or long-term basis.
