The Opportunity:

As the Emergency, Security & Training (EST) Supervisor will play a key role on our client’s project, ensuring a strong culture of health, safety, security and environmental excellence. This position will be responsible for designing and delivering an efficient health and safety training program, supporting the overall HSSE strategy and promoting best practices across the project.

The EST Supervisor will also oversee the implementation and monitoring of security and emergency response strategies, coordinating emergency response planning, drills, training and execution. Additionally, the role will involve working closely with the site security provider to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures while assisting the HSSE Manager in maintaining a safe and secure project environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Review project threat assessments, monitor security operations and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Coordinate security guard placement across Kent projects and sites to minimize risk and prevent loss.
  • Ensure security staff receive appropriate training and are deployed effectively based on project requirements.
  • Advise project management on potential security threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate emergency responses, conduct drills and update emergency response plans based on lessons learned and site changes.
  • Develop, implement and review health and safety training programs, including a training matrix aligned with legislation, client and company standards.
  • Lead HSSE training initiatives, including inductions and ongoing development programs for project personnel.
  • Maintain and monitor the HSSE training database, providing reports and identifying any concerns or noncompliance.
  • Contribute to health and safety communications, including emails, newsletters and seminars to promote awareness and engagement.
  • Support the Project HSSE Manager with monthly reporting, stakeholder engagement and participation in HSSE meetings.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in WHS and a Cert IV TAA – Training and Assessor (a Diploma in Adult Learning is a plus), with experience in HSE systems, security operations and emergency response planning for large workforces. Strong stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills are key, along with the ability to work across all levels, from data entry to leadership meetings.

You excel in procedure development, compliance and incident investigations (RCA), with proven skills in report writing and policy creation. Experience in HSSE databases and major hazard facilities is highly regarded.
