Role scope
The role of supervisor is responsible for the management of the blue-collar operations and maintenance at the AMPOL Project. To oversee the work of electricians. To be responsible to ensure that electrical projects are carried out as efficiently and safely as possible. To be responsible for planning and scheduling projects, including estimating the time and materials needed to complete them. To oversee the work of electricians while they’re on the job and provide them with assistance or guidance when necessary.
Details / responsibilities
- Plan and schedule projects
- Estimate the time and materials needed to complete projects
- Supervise electricians as they work, providing guidance and instruction as needed
- Ensure that work complies with all safety requirements
- To plan, schedule and implement electrical projects from inception to completion
- To manage and oversee electricians and electrical technicians to ensure accurate, safe and on-schedule task completion
- To maintain the quality of electrical work by conducting regular inspections to ensure installations and repairs meet industry standards and client specifications and troubleshoot any issues that occur
- To maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including blueprints, schematics, maintenance logs and inspection reports
About You:
Our ideal candidate will hold an Electrical Trade Certification and a Qld Electrical Licence along with an up-to-date EHHA Certificate (refreshed within the last five years). Ideally, you’ll have previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor working on Construction projects in the Oil & Gas industry. You will bring a solid knowledge of the electrical industry, including relevant state and federal codes. Strong leadership, clear communication and the ability to listen actively and delegate tasks effectively are important.

You will often facilitate the work of others, guiding the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems. Your ability to identify root causes and distinguish problems from their symptoms will be crucial. Additionally, you’ll be trusted to lead small functional teams or initiatives, showcasing your leadership and problem-solving skills.
