About the job:

Working in the PMC Project Management Team for a Portfolio of Energy Transition Projects to be based in Vienna, Austria. Candidates must be fluent in English and German and be able to start in June 2025.


Skills and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure HSSE goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement.
  • Provide supervision of Electrical Engineering, Procurement and Construction work carried out by the FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) and their nominated Subcontractors, Vendors and Suppliers for the assigned Project.
  • Supervise the Electrical Engineering content for the assigned Project to ensure that technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Supervise, oversee and coordinate regular and timely technical reviews of Electrical related Engineering deliverables developed by the FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) and their nominated Subcontractors, Vendors and Suppliers, ensuring design optimization in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Interface with other PMT Engineering Disciplines and client Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations, and the FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) and their nominated Subcontractors, Vendors and Suppliers EPC to resolve technical issues and ensure Quality Engineering execution and plant integrity.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Champion the assigned Project Safety culture, through behaviours and engagement activities.
  • Personal involvement in Project Safety culture, behaviours and engagement activities.
  • Promote Quality and accuracy of FEED/EPCM Contractor’s Electrical Engineering design activities, system integration, and design selection.
  • Participate in the review and approval of FEED/EPCM Contractor’s work, ensuring compliance with client specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices.
  • Participate in the development and analysis of various design options and business models. Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to ensure design optimization and validation.
  • Follow the technical guidance required to develop new specifications and update existing specifications in line with client requirements.
  • Actively participate in Facilities and Equipment design optimization, plant layout reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
  • Cooperate with other PMT Discipline Engineers and participate in technical reviews and analysis during Subcontractor, Vendor and Supplier pre-qualification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
  • Perform review of technical bid submissions and perform technical bid analysis for the Electrical discipline.
  • Participate in the review and approval of FEED/EPCM Contractor’s Engineering Queries, Site Queries, Deviation and Waiver requests, Change Order proposals and Invoice submissions, providing assessment reports to PMT management.
  • Participate in Electrical Field Engineering support to PMT Construction Manager during the execution phase of the assigned Project at site.
  • Provide Functional Input to PMT Project Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports.
  • Participate in completion of FEED/EPCM Contractor’s scope of work up to and including Mechanical Completion of the facilities, including the completion of the final As-built drawings.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree and member of an appropriate professional body.
  • Sufficient experience within the field of Electrical Engineering for Oil and Gas Projects.
  • Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision.
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems related to a specific discipline/field.
  • Responsible for own work product with minimal guidance and oversight from immediate supervisor.
  • Establishes credibility with peers and supervisors and makes good use of their time.
  • Exercises judgment in making decisions; knows when to seek advice

Communication:

  • Team player.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – must be fluent in English and German.
  • Professional communication skills – able to communicate with peers, customers, and vendors.
