About the job:
Kent is looking for an experienced and technically astute System Integration Manager to lead and govern the specification, configuration, and integration of digital systems, engineering platforms, and data environments across a major EPCm project.
This role is independent from solution vendors and is responsible for ensuring that the solutions proposed and delivered by third-party vendors are fit for purpose, validated, and compliant with client standards, integration protocols, and digital strategies. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with internal project teams, client stakeholders, and system suppliers to enable seamless interoperability, data continuity, and long-term operational readiness.
KENT is a leading provider of cutting-edge digital solutions for the energy sector, specializing in oil & gas, renewables, and unconventional energy industries.
We are dedicated to advancing digital engineering, asset lifecycle management, and digital asset development to optimize performance and streamline operations and maintenance for our clients.
Driven by a commitment to excellence, our Digital and Innovation team leverages industry expertise to deliver outstanding service, fosters innovation, and champion sustainability across the energy sector.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the integration architecture and interoperability roadmap for engineering, asset, and operations systems across the project lifecycle.
- Lead the development and validation of system integration specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and data flow diagrams.
- Ensure independence from vendor bias, verifying that integrations meet business, engineering, and operational needs rather than proprietary constraints.
- Review and validate all technical integration deliverables from vendors, ensuring they are complete, accurate, secure, and compliant with project and client standards.
- Drive technical assurance processes including interface testing, data exchange validation, and performance benchmarking.
- Flag integration gaps, risks, or deviations from requirements and coordinate corrective action with engineering, IT, and vendor teams.
- Specify and oversee the integration of engineering data (1D–8D), document metadata, asset hierarchies, and operational data across systems such as Engineering Tools, Document Management Systems, APMs, DCS, PLC/SCADA, and Digital Twins.
- Govern data exchange formats and mappings (e.g., ISO 15926, CFIHOS, BIM standards) to ensure consistency, quality, and traceability of information.
- Lead the implementation of data validation routines for inbound and outbound system connections to prevent corrupt or incomplete data transfers.
- Oversee configuration and deployment of system integrations in development, testing, and production environments, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity and performance standards.
- Support the commissioning and validation of integrated systems before handover to operations.
- Provide technical input on system scalability, lifecycle support, and maintainability.
- Coordinate closely with project teams, client IT/OT departments, engineering leads, and operations to capture integration needs and constraints.
- Lead technical interface workshops and design reviews with vendors and client stakeholders to confirm technical assumptions and interface behavior.
- Facilitate traceable documentation of all integration interfaces, configurations, and dependencies.
- Ensure all integration activities align with client guidelines, regulatory frameworks (e.g., ADNOC DOF Guidelines), and project cybersecurity standards.
- Manage integration-related risks and contribute to mitigation plans in collaboration with risk and quality teams.
- Validate compliance of integrated systems with HSE, cybersecurity, and asset integrity protocols.
- Provide regular updates to project leadership on integration progress, quality metrics, and issue resolution status.
- Recommend improvements to integration frameworks, toolchains, and vendor processes based on project learnings.
- Contribute to digital maturity assessments and system readiness evaluations.
