About the job:

Kent is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer II, to support ongoing projects.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Plans, Drawings and Diagrams: Prepare plans, drawings and diagrams for each project, applying specific knowledge, standards and norms established for each document, in order to ensure that the requirements and needs raised by the client and the Projects are met within the deadlines defined in the Detailed Work Program and with the Quality and Compliance parameters stipulated in the Value Promise.
  • Technical Support: Support the Engineers of the specialty in the preparation, review, complementation or expansion of the technical standards generally applied, in accordance with procedures established by the Company and requests from the Clients, in order to optimize and facilitate the development of the projects.
  • Support in Audit Issues: Participate in the solution of findings of internal audits, periodic verifications and/or reports of non-conformity issued by the Quality Area, according to the request of their Immediate Superior, in order to support the performance of activities that allow closing corrective and/or preventive actions for the timely development of improvement actions.
  • In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Bachiller academic or technical.
  • Draughtsman, Technician or Technologist related to the Specialty.
  • Basic/Intermediate level of English desirable.

Communication:

  • Excellent command of Spanish in communication and oral and written skills.
  • Intermediate/Advanced level of English desirable.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • Specific experience of 6.1 to 9 years.
  • Experience in the preparation and interpretation of single-line diagrams, area classification plans, interior and exterior lighting, electrical conduits, lightning protection systems, grounding systems, lighting calculation memories, basic electrical calculations, work quantities and material requisition.
  • Advanced Management of Drawing Software (Autocad 2D and 3D).
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Autoplant, SmartPlant, OpenPlant or AutocadPlant 3D.
  • Interpretation of single-line diagrams.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the classification of areas.
  • Knowledge of Office PowerPoint and Excel Suite, DIALUX lighting design software.
  • Knowledge and interpretation of the NTC 2050 and RETIE Standard.
  • Collection of information in the field.

Habilidades y responsabilidades:

Responsabilidades:

  • Elaboración de Planos, dibujos y Diagramas: Elaborar planos, dibujos y diagramas propios de cada proyecto, aplicando conocimientos específicos, estándares y normas establecidas para cada documento, con el fin de garantizar que se cumplan los requerimientos y necesidades planteadas por el cliente y los Proyectos dentro de los plazos definidos en el Programa Detallado de Trabajo y con los parámetros de Calidad y Cumplimiento estipulados en la Promesa de Valor.
  • Apoyo Técnico: Apoyar a los Ingenieros de la especialidad en la preparación, revisión, complementación o ampliación de los estándares técnicos generalmente aplicados, de acuerdo con procedimientos establecidos por la Compañía y solicitudes de los Clientes, con el fin de optimizar y facilitar el desarrollo de los proyectos.
  • Apoyo en temas de Auditoría: Participar en la solución de hallazgos de auditorías internas, verificaciones periódicas y/o reportes de no conformidad emitidos por el Área de Calidad, de acuerdo a solicitud de su Jefe Inmediato, con el fin de apoyar la realización de actividades que permitan cerrar acciones correctivas y/o preventivas para el desarrollo oportuno de acciones de mejoramiento.
  • Además de las responsabilidades enumeradas en este documento, es posible que se requiera que el empleado realice otras tareas ad-hoc según sea necesario o lo indique el supervisor o la gerencia. Estas tareas estarán dentro del alcance razonable de las habilidades, capacidades y roles del empleado dentro de la organización. La intención de este crédito es permitir flexibilidad y adaptabilidad para satisfacer las necesidades dinámicas de la organización, asegurando que los requisitos operacionales puedan satisfacerse de manera eficiente. Todas estas tareas se asignarán teniendo en cuenta la carga de trabajo actual del empleado y con respecto a su desarrollo profesional.

Sus conocimientos/habilidades, educación y experiencia:

Conocimientos/ Cualificación/ Formación/ Certificación:

  • Bachiller académico o técnico.
  • Delineante, Técnico o Tecnólogo afín de la Especialidad.
  • Deseable nivel de inglés Básico/Intermedio.

Comunicación:

  • Excelente dominio del idioma español en la comunicación y habilidades orales y escritas.
  • Deseable nivel de inglés Intermedio/Avanzado.

Comportamiento/Competencias Básicas:

  • Experiencia específica de 6,1 a 9 años.
  • Manejo Avanzado de software de Dibujo (Autocad 2D y 3D).
  • Conocimiento y/o experiencia en Autoplant, SmartPlant, OpenPlant o AutocadPlant 3D.
  • Interpretación de diagramas unifilares.
  • Conocimiento y/o experiencia clasificación de áreas.
  • Conocimiento de Paquete Office PowerPoint y Excel, software de diseño de iluminación DIALUX.
  • Conocimiento e interpretación de la Norma NTC 2050 y RETIE.
  • Recolección de información en campo.
