The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to take ownership of the commercial landscape on a major energy project. In this key role, you'll be the driving force behind the successful management of all subcontractor and vendor relationships - handling everything from contract administration and claims to procurement and commercial performance.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure that all downstream contracts align with both project objectives and broader company standards. This is a hands-on role that requires sharp commercial acumen, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a dynamic environment.

In addition, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end administration of the EPCm head contract with the client - ensuring obligations are met, risks are managed and the project is delivered with commercial excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the EPCm head contract, including claims, variations and client correspondence.
• Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors and vendors to resolve commercial and contractual matters.
• Oversee subcontractor/vendor contracts and claims, ensuring compliance, accuracy and timely resolution.
• Review tender packages and assess risk for subcontractor and supplier engagements.
• Support project teams with contract guidance, documentation and commercial procedures.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors and planners to monitor progress, variations and cost control.
• Provide regular commercial reports and updates to project leadership.
• Promote contract awareness and provide training to project staff on key commercial obligations.

About you:

You’re a commercially focused professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field and bring with you a strong understanding of industry-standard business practices, particularly around the negotiation and management of prime contracts. Your expertise spans the full commercial lifecycle - from internal project governance and financial management to executive-level reporting and risk reviews alongside corporate teams.

You’re confident in leading and motivating commercial teams, with a track record of fostering high-performing environments. Your ability to manage both internal and client-side relationships makes you a trusted partner across the project. With strong commercial, contractual and cost management acumen, you approach challenges strategically - always looking to maximise project performance and profitability.

You’re also well-versed in contract admin tools and cost control systems and your advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills make you a key player in project success. If there's an opportunity to improve commercial outcomes or reduce risk, you’re already on top of it.
