About the job:

Kent is looking for a CCS U.S. Country Manager to be based in the Houston, TX office reporting to our Vice President – Completions, Commissioning & Start-up – Americas.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Oversight

  • Provide decisive leadership to a diverse delivery organization, including major and small Capex commissioning managers and the Operations Support Manager.
  • Embed Kent’s purpose, beliefs, and culture throughout the U.S. region, fostering trust, empowerment, and accountability across all levels.
  • Develop and execute regional strategies aligned with the broader CCS-Americas vision and Kent’s global ambitions.
    • Commissioning Managers for Major Capex Projects

Integrated Delivery Oversight

  • Directly oversee all U.S. commissioning activity, major project delivery, small capex execution, and functional operations support.
  • Ensure coordination between project managers and functional leads to guarantee procedural adherence, consistent support, and seamless project execution.
  • Hold direct accountability for the performance of each project P&L, working closely with Kent’s PMs and POCs to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the executive sponsor for key clients, maintaining senior relationships and managing escalations across all U.S. projects.
  • Ensure the Program Manager (Small Capex Projects) and Commissioning Managers maintain strong day-to-day relationships with client counterparts.
  • Represent Kent at industry forums, conferences, and with external stakeholders to enhance reputation and business development.

Operational Excellence & Functional Governance

  • Partner with the Operations Support Manager to ensure standardization of functional procedures across projects.
  • Drive performance management across project delivery teams with clear KPIs, metrics, and cadence of reporting.
  • Identify systemic issues, support resolution of functional breakdowns, and drive improvements across the region.

Commercial & Growth Responsibility

  • Collaborate with business development and proposals teams to position Kent for future work, particularly in key strategic client accounts and regions.
  • Ensure resource planning, pricing, and commercial strategy align with regional and global targets.
  • Support early client engagement and project shaping to enable delivery readiness from day one.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team across a growing and complex regional footprint.
  • Build a strong succession pipeline by developing the next tier of operational, technical, and project leaders.
  • Promote a high-performance culture grounded in safety, accountability, and inclusion.

Authority & Influence

  • Final accountability for project delivery, client satisfaction, and operational performance within the U.S. CCS business.

Direct line management of:

  1. Program Manager – Small Capex Projects
  2. Operations Support Manager
  • Decision-making authority for project sponsorships, functional resource allocations, and procedural implementation in the U.S.
  • Executive escalation point for internal and client-related matters across all U.S. CCS scopes.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or other Industry related fields of study.
  • A strong focus on the development of HSSE awareness and HSSE management is essential.
  • Proven competency in multi-disciplinary engineering, construction, commissioning, maintenance, or operations activities, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and a sound knowledge of project delivery processes.
  • Understanding of major project lifecycle execution.
  • Deep understanding of the energy industry in region, customer segmentation and customer base across sectors.

Communication:

  • Excellent oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • High energy and an intuitive business development / account management leader.
  • Proven ability to manage the development of high value proposals and relate to the most senior level clients and is comfortable operating within a fast growth environment.
