Planning, integration and execution of the pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities to support the site acceptance testing and start-up of the `greenfield´ and `brownfield´ areas associated with the Reficar Cartagena Refinery Expansion Project.
The expansion project includes a new 165,000 bpd refinery, utilities, and infrastructure as well as the modernisation of the adjacent 80,000 bpd refinery. The company successfully executed the electrical and instrumentation installation for the new refinery's process units (SC-1291 Block B), which will produce clean, ultra-low sulphur gasoline and diesel from heavy crude.
Disciplines required include craft labour to support commissioning of buildings and structures for both occupancy and utilities, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and fire and safety equipment. We were responsible for the initial mechanical completion (MC) walk down and facilitation of acceptance, verification of MC post acceptance punch lists, as well as the coordination, scheduling and logistical support of lower tier sub-contractors with regard to system flushing, cleaning, chemical passivation, steam and air blows, catalyst loading and all other ancillary activities related to third party pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and site acceptance testing.
